Images

Here are some of the images original images I have thought of using and have used in my front cover and contents page. I have analyses each image to say why I have or have not used them. Here are 6 images:

I have used this image because I think it represents the target audience for the college magazine. It appeals to the target audience and can be considered as a role model for younger students. This has been used to represent the fashion show even though it is a studio picture.
Also the lighting is quite bright in this, I have edited this briefly to make it darker.

I have used this image in my contents page because to make the magazine unisex and appeal to the target audience, having male and female models seems like the best way to represent this. This is an image of the London trip for media and this has humor to it and also could show another role model for younger students.

I have used this image in the contents page too, this is the enlarged image to identify the fashion show. I really like this image as the lighting is quite bright and the image is very clear and crisp. The neutral colours appeal to the target audience and goes with an animal like theme.

I have used this image in my contents page because it highlights any awards students may have received and appeals to the majority of students. This is the original image, its not very clear but I have PhotoShopped  the image and erased the white wall behind it. I like the lighting, thats partly why I have used this image and what the image represents.

I was thinking about using this image, however I later thought that there was too much going on, the colours are quite boring and bland which would not appeal to the target audience of students. Then I thought this was defiantly not suitable for a college front cover or even contents page.

I was going to use this image because this image represents a program that appeals to a large audience and appeals to the majority of students. However the picture quality is quite poor and has students blocking part of the image, which really put me off using this image.

  1. A good demonstration of the selection process for your images. Awareness of what would be required by your target audience.
